JOB SUMMARY:

The Facilities Technician will provide standardized cleaning and will perform a variety of duties involved in the preventative maintenance of facilities and maintenance/housekeeping to the buildings, infrastructure, and grounds.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Painting: Performs spray or brush painting of walls, ceilings, exterior buildings, doors, window frames, siding, and trim. Masks surfaces preparatory to painting. Applies specialized coatings to roofs.
Carpentry: Perform rough or simple type carpentry in the repair and maintenance of buildings and related furnishing or structures. Duties may include framing, box construction, and concrete forms making minor repairs such as replacing broken boards, nailing down loose wall siding and caulking doors and windowsills.
Performs all tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the department to ensure the continuity and efficiency of patient care and daily operations.
Routine cleaning of exam rooms, corridors, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
Routine cleaning of high traffic areas to include walls, cabinet surfaces, tables, stands and any other furniture and areas as directed.
Cleaning and maintenance of all floors; carpet, tile, brick, and concrete flooring.
Completes trash removal, biohazardous linens, and sharps container removal to appropriate disposal area.
Ensures assigned areas are adequately stocked with supplies, paper products, and other essential items required to keep all areas functioning.
Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies, paper products, and other essential items required to keep all areas functioning.
Assists visitors with directions when requested.
Is trained/cross trained in all areas of the facility to ensure ability to meet workload requirements when staffing shortages and/or vacations reduce staff levels.
Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
Replenishes supplies; notifies Infection Control Supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
Follows all infection control practices including washing techniques, standard precautions, and isolation precautions.
Observes safety precautions at all times.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid driver license and be eligible for coverage under WRFCHC’s auto insurance policy.
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
First Aid/AED/CPR within 60 days of hire
