Wind River Cares is pleased to announce two new pediatric providers ready to care for your children: Teri Tesdall-Sartori and Aven Glazer.
Teri is originally from the cold, Pacific Coast. In search of sunshine, she attended the University of Florida where she received her BNS, MSN, and then became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. While in Florida, she worked for the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Florida until 2010, when her husband Michael’s academic center moved to the University of Houston.
After they moved, Teri attended the University of Texas at Arlington to further her education in pediatric care and graduated in May of 2015. She then worked in critical Care medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital until June 2017.
One day while Teri was out shopping for art supplies, she received a phone call about Wind River Family Practice. It was then that she was entranced and the rest, as they say, is history.
When she isn’t caring for children, Teri enjoys hiking, cooking, knitting, painting, and playing her cello. She is married to Michael Sartori, and they have two children, Alex and Aurora. The Sartoris cherish family, adore children, and love dogs.
Aven is originally from Houston, Texas. She attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and graduated with a BS in Biology in 2011. She worked in Texas state Disability Services for a year before attending Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she graduated with a BS in Nursing in 2013.
Aven then worked for three years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Duke University Hospital as a registered nurse. She returned to Duke University and earned an MS in Nursing specializing in Pediatric Primary Care and then came to Wind River Family and Community Health Care in January 2018.
As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner she is passionate about caring for newborn babies and providing holistic care of the growing child.
Aven has a special love for Wyoming with her father’s side of the family being from Worland. As a child, Aven spent many summers in the Big Horn Mountains near Ten Sleep. Currently, Aven lives in Lander with her husband, John, and their cocker spaniel, Bella. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Wyoming through hiking, rock climbing, and cycling.
